Responsible Gaming

You are reading a static information site, and you deserve to know exactly what it can and cannot do for you. Everything below is either practical advice or a fact about how these pages are built.

Know What These Pages Cannot Do for You

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check one or enforce one. If you want any of those controls, you arrange them inside your own account at the destination.

Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any check of that kind happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Find the Independent Help Links

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gamble Aware, Gambling Therapy, G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here, GAM STOP and NCPG. Each is an independent source of help.

These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when you follow them.

Set Your Limits Before You Play

Decide the amount before you start, and treat it as already spent. A figure chosen calmly beforehand protects you from decisions made in the middle of a winning or losing streak.

Never chase a loss. Trying to win money back usually means staking more while you are frustrated, which tends to deepen the loss rather than recover it. Keep gambling out of borrowed money too, because debt turns a lost stake into a repayment that follows you long after the session ends.

Step Away and Bring Someone In

Take regular breaks. Time passes quickly during play, and stepping away gives you a moment to check whether you are still within the amount you set.

Involve someone else early when gambling stops feeling like entertainment. A trusted person can notice changes you may miss, and talking sooner makes it easier to change course. The eighteen-and-over restriction repeated throughout this build, including on the front page, applies here as well.
